Craig Maxwell, the former Commercial Director of the Welsh Rugby Union, has been dealt a crushing blow in his ongoing fight against incurable lung cancer, with the denial of life-extending treatment. Diagnosed in September 2022 with an inoperable form of the disease, Maxwell has not only faced immense personal challenges but has also dedicated himself to an extraordinary charitable mission — raising over £1.6 million to support cancer-related causes.
