Cost Of Living Support Announcement.

Cost of Living Support Announcement.

Rishi Sunak has announced a £15bn package of support for households struggling with the cost of living crisis, part-funded by a £5bn windfall tax on energy companies.

All households will receive £400 and millions of vulnerable households will get £1,200 of support this year to help with the cost of living.

Thoughts From The Editor.

There is a saying “never look a gift horse in the mouth” meaning do not be ungrateful or don’t question the value of a gift. The proverb refers to the practice of evaluating the age of a horse by looking at its teeth.

However, we need to make some calculations and this is by my own utility bill payments per month.

  • Gas £138
  • Electricity £90
  • Water £57

Total: £285 x 12 months = £3,420

Now looking at the website I could possibly get an extra £650 + £150 = £800 – £3,420 = £2620

But compared to last year my monthly bill was:

  • Gas 65
  • Electricity £32
  • Water 57

Total: £154 x 12 = £1,848

Compared to this year’s annual bill of £3,420 leaves an inflated difference of £1572 – £800 gift horse money leaves £772 that I still have to find divided by 12 months = £65 per month I miraculously have to manifest out of thin air.

For people who can decorate their walls at £840 per roll and have never had to worry about putting food on the table this is laughable and what makes it worse is the powers that be, think the whole world is gullible and does not know what is going on.

(In a nutshell, it is called ‘Deficit Spending’).

The Hidden Secrets of Money.

Watch the video to the end after the credits where Ron Paul and Steve Forbes discuss the money system with Mike Maloney the creator of the video series.

But wait for the twilight zone where they give the money in one hand they will take it away with the other.

Regulator Ofgem predicted average bills will leap another £829 to £2,800 on October 1. (Where they get their figures from is incomprehensible because the current price is already £3,240 and not £829 as they claim), which will almost double the number of households in fuel poverty from 6.5 million to 12 million.

If they give you the money, a few months later bills you mark my words prices will go up again, they are simply cat and mouse and its all smoke and mirrors..

Rishi Sunak should have put a price cap on all millionaires and billionaires because even these people will get the £400 funding. He later said in an interview that the wealthy can donote to charity if they do not need the £400. Lets be realist here who wants to give money away especially if it is free money. Millionaires did not become rich by giving money away.

It is all smoke and mirrors and the only people that win are the stockholders at the Federal Reserve.

For the people that voted out of the EU who had not one ounce of knowledge of economics or politics, I say “well done”, now see the state of the economy. You wanted to leave the EU because of immigration nothing more. People complained that foreigners were taking their wages but in reality, the Brits never wanted those jobs in the first place and someone had to fill them. Now that the foreigners have gone why are there so many people unemployed?

What I would do if I had any say, any unemployed person that could not find work for example in a 6-month period would have to start a business. There is no reason for anyone to be out of work, everyone can get a job or if not can create one. Obviously, people with certain disabilities can not work for obvious reasons but some can, as example I suffer from Cerebellar Atrophy, OCD, and Depression, but I am self-employed and am also a Carer.

Brexit & Voting.

You would not allow the public to make decisions on your business but the government gets people to vote on the state of a country that may be uneducated or have zero knowledge of politics and economics. It’s a numbers game nothing more.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/boris-johnson-could-announce-cost-27057778

Anyway, I am happy that the Government is doing something although this has already affected many people’s mental health. Speaking from experience depression, anxiety and stress can be the start of other conditions.

I personally think they should have done something sooner, but I’m not a PM, BJ is.

By coincidence, I follow him on LinkedIn and made a comment on this post. I reckon his social media team may have read my comment I hope so because I asked if he could give me the opportunity to do his marketing campaigns. I said I would link his new site to mine as not everyone reads the news, watches tv, or has a LinkedIn account.

I asked Boris Johnson For a Job.

It would be interesting if anyone bothers to reply or even donate after all charity starts at home and if I am struggling, how am I supposed to keep this site running?

Furthermore, I am doing the government a favor by sending free traffic their way.

Some people pay for traffic, it is called ‘Advertising & Marketing’.

Here is the link to the sub-domain Boris Johnson incorrectly stated and said it was a new website gov.uk is actually the default website and they have just added a sub-domain and subdirectory.

https://costoflivingsupport.campaign.gov.uk/#supporting_your_income

Anything before or after gov.uk is either subdomain or a subdirectory.

Advice to Teens Wanting to Start a Business.

As many adults with successful businesses can tell you, knowledge and experience come with age. It involves trial and error, taking risks, and persevering with an idea even if others don’t share your particular vision. Several entrepreneurs started when they were kids and teenagers and have since built highly successful businesses worth millions.

However, nowhere does it say that teenagers can’t create and run successful enterprises because they are young and don’t have the skills believed in making a success. Presented below by Disabled Entrepreneur UK, let’s consider the benefits of starting young and some advice on establishing yourself as a teen entrepreneur.

The Benefits of Starting Young

There is never a “best” time to start a business, but the younger you are, the more you can benefit. A successful business requires innovation, creativity, money management skills, problem-solving capabilities, energy, perseverance, and a willingness to take risks. Building on an idea that can make you money teaches you the skills to grow your business. If your first business doesn’t perform as anticipated, you can start a new one based on the lessons learned. Career Girl Daily points out that failure is an excellent teacher, and when you are young, you have plenty of time to develop your skills and start over.

Do What You Love To Do

Depending on your age and interests, Small Business Trends shows that several popular business ideas can give you the inspiration you need to start. Building a business takes time and effort, so it’s essential that you do something you like with enough hours left for schoolwork, sports, and social life. You can turn your favorite pastime into a profitable business for when you graduate from high school or college, for example, building websites, writing blogs, decorating cakes, tutoring other students, taking pictures, making videos, and many more.

Apply Best Practices To Get Results

Every business needs to follow a business structure. Your parents can help you choose one that will suit your needs, or you can ask a business formation service to register your business on your behalf. Make sure you understand the implications of the different types of structures, as it holds legal implications. For example, what happens when your company goes bankrupt, how you pay your taxes, how much paperwork you have to do, and other important details are all important considerations. A private limited company or Ltd. is a common structure type as it will protect your assets, such as your first car or home, as your business grows.

Make Use of Various Marketing Channels

Marketing your service or product is vital if you want to grow your business beyond making extra pocket money. That said, you may need to work with other professionals to help bring your marketing efforts to life. If you’re communicating with a graphic designer or web designer about design ideas you’ll likely be working with large PDF files with many images, you can edit PDFs by utilizing a free PDF editor tool to add text, sticky notes, highlights, and drawings, and more. This allows you to easily specify any suggestions or changes you might need without having to send lengthy emails.

Enroll in a Business Course

After graduating, consider registering for an online business class that can further develop your business skills, such as business management, management, leadership, or marketing. Online business management courses, for example, can help provide you with all the tools, skills, and resources you need to succeed at running your business.

The Future Is in Your Hands

Whatever you choose to do, take your future into your own hands and start building your dream today.

Creditor Harassment & Mental Health.

Creditor Harassment and Mental Health!

Creditor Harassment & Mental Health

Disclaimer: This site primarily focuses on residents in the UK, however, it’s okay if you are from another part of the world as we try to help everyone. One thing you must take into consideration is this article has links to UK Government Official Bodies. Should you be reading this in the USA for example please contact your local legal office for advice. Furthermore, if you are experiencing financial difficulty and you are in debt, tell someone, you should not suffer in silence. Write down all your income and outgoings and let your creditors know you are finding things difficult. Ask them for extra time. They may give you an option to pay reasonable amounts without you losing sleep. No one should get themselves so worked up that it affects their mental health.

Who is a Creditor?

A creditor could be a bank, a credit card company, a business, a loan company, or a utility provider.

The creditor usually provides property, services, or lends out money, including but not limited to anything you have taken out on finance such as a car, white goods, or even phone/broadband providers.

A creditor is basically a person, a business, or an institution you own money to.

All creditors should give you the option to pay off the debt in installments even going as far as capping interest rates.

It will take the creditor a lot longer to get his/her money if he/she has to pay a credit agency or if you agree on an IVA where most of your debt is written off.

Most creditors are reasonable but there are a few that are not.

Explain how the debt is affecting your mental health and if you are unable to function properly or go to work, (after all they want you to continue getting a wage, in order to pay them). Most will be understanding and show empathy but there will be a few that may not care.

Remember to document everything including saving emails/text messages and letters which all count as evidence of your communication.

The Protection from Harassment Act 1997

A creditor that continually phones and texts on your business number causing you to turn it off consequently causing you to lose business is causing a criminal offense.

Debt collecting agencies and creditors, especially credit card companies use multiple telephone and mobile numbers and even if you block them they will still get through, even if you have blocked all notifications and incoming calls.

They after getting their money back by any means possible. Some have no regard for your circumstances or your mental health and may become patronizing, judgemental, and condescending when you finally contact them.

Engaging in harassment during the debt collection process is also deemed a criminal offense.

The harassment may be verbal or written, either via letter, email or text and includes making repeated calls and texts during non-social times or to the workplace of the debtor”.

The Protection from Harassment Act 1997 considers it a criminal offense for a person to take any action that is known or should be known, to be harassing another person.

DEBT COLLECTION GUIDELINES

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) specifies unfair practices regarding debt collection in its Debt Collection and Debt Management Guidelines. These include accounts in arrears or those having missed payments.

The Guidelines focus on a section about “contacting debtors at unreasonable times and intervals.”

Hours for contact regarding intervals and times that may be considered unfair are outlined. Making multiple calls during working hours, using the business number, phoning at unsociable hours, contacting neighbors and informing them of the purpose of the call, and contacting a debtor at his or her workplace are included in the whitepaper.

HOW TO HANDLE A HARASSING CREDITOR

If you think a creditor has violated one of the above laws or is not in compliance with the OFT Guidelines, you should discuss the issue with the creditor or a collection company representing it. Always reach out to the creditor with the initial complaint and then escalate it with the professional body if you feel your complaint is not taken seriously. Tell your creditor how you want to be contacted in the future and ask them to confirm this in writing.

Your letter should state that harassment is a criminal offense and you can take further action if your creditor doesn’t stop. Initially, you could write to them by email, usually, they have autoresponders confirming receipt of your email. Give them a few days to reply. Follow up by a snail mail postal letter and remember to send all letters by recorded delivery and keep copies so that you have a record of your complaint.

Prior to making contact, gather all your evidence including calls/texts (screenshot the message and capture the phone number and date) and visit times, and any emails or letters that you consider threatening or menacing.

The letter should include a request that the party immediately stop the behavior. You should also provide a preferred method of contact and acceptable times to make contact.

Once your complaint have be received and acknowledged, your creditor has 3 business days to respond informally. This could be by phone or email (This depends on your preferred method of communication as outlined in your letter of complaint). A final response letter might take longer. Your creditor also has to report your complaint to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), even if they respond within 3 business days.

If the creditor fails to change its practices following receipt of this letter, submit a formal complaint to the Citizens Advice Bureau, Trading Standards, or OFT.

If the behavior of a bailiff, creditor, or collection agency ever becomes extremely threatening or violent in nature, notify the police immediately.

Support Making A Complaint

If you need help complaining, writing letters, or phoning your creditors, you can phone the debt helpline on 0300 330 1313. Lines are open between 9 am and 8 pm, Monday to Friday. Calls cost the same as calls to landline numbers. Alternatively, You can also get help by contacting your nearest Citizens Advice.

You could also contact us and we could send you a template letter and you just need to fill in the blanks.

To escalate your complaint you should complain to a professional body too. Your debt collector may belong to a trade association or professional body with a code of practice (FCA) that sets out how they are supposed to behave towards you.

In Northern Ireland, you can contact the Consumer line at: www.consumerline.org.

Trade associations

If you are wondering if your lender belongs to a trade association that has a code of practice, then check out this link for Further Help. The trade association may also take action against its members who break the code of practice.

If your complaint is against a bank, building society, or credit card company, they may belong to the Standards of Lending Practice.

The Standards of Lending Practice have guidance for members which they should follow.

These include:

  1. Avoid putting pressure on a lender and not allowing harassment.
  2. Should advise to consolidate the debt or debt management.
  3. Should provide support if the lender is vulnerable, for example, if you have physical or mental health problems.
  4. Should use trustworthy debt collection agencies who must also follow the Standards of Lending Practice if the debt is passed on or sold.

You should complain to the bank, building society, or credit card company first, using their complaints procedure. If this does not sort out the problem, you can complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service, telling them that a debt collector or creditor has broken the terms of the Standards of Lending Practice. For more information about complaining to the Financial Ombudsman Service, go to the Financial Ombudsman’s website at: www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

For more information about the Standards of Lending Practice or to find out if your creditor is a member, go to www.lendingstandardsboard.org.uk.

Complaining about a solicitor acting for a creditor

There may be times when the debt is forwarded to a legal team and initially you get a letter from a solicitor notifying you that you have defaulted and a demand for a payment settlement. If a solicitor then starts to become harassing you on behalf of a creditor, this is considered to be professional misconduct.

To make a complaint about a solicitor, you will first need to use the firm’s internal complaints procedure. What this means is you will have to contact the law firm and lodge a complaint. If the complaint is ignored or handled unsuccessfully, you can then escalate to the Law Society. If this does not resolve the problem, you can complain to one of the professional associations. A bonafide solicitor will be a member of the Law Society and you can find their registration number in the footer section of their website. You can also check the Law Society website if the law firm or solicitor is a member.

If they are registered in England or Wales, you can complain to the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority (SRA) at www.sra.org.uk. If they are registered in Scotland, you can complain to the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission (SLCC) at www.scottishlegalcomplaints.org.uk. If they are registered in Northern Ireland, you can complain to the Law Society. Go to www.lawsoc-ni.org.

Complaining to the Citizens Advice Consumer Service

If you want to complain about a local firm, you can contact the Citizens Advice Consumer Service. They can put you in touch with your local Trading Standards Office, which can investigate whether an offense had been committed.

In Northern Ireland, you can contact the Consumer line at www.consumerline.org.

Complaining to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

The FCA has rules and guidance about debt collection. Although the FCA cannot take up your individual case, they can refuse or revoke the firm’s authorization or, for example, fine the firm. It may be worth reminding the creditor that breaching the rules could affect their FCA authorization.

More about the FCA rules and guidance on debt collection in the FCA’s Consumer Credit Sourcebook at www.fca.org.uk.

Illegal money lending

In desperate times we sometimes do desperate things and we may come across companies offering us money dangling a golden carrot until the day come to pay our loan back, we may get into financial difficulty and this is where we end up in murky waters.

It’s easy to borrow money but it’s not so easy to pay it back.

You may have borrowed money from a moneylender who is not FCA authorized. These lenders are for the better word often called loan sharks and they may physically or verbally threaten you if you can’t pay back the money.

They also charge extremely high rates of interest, which means you may end up owing much more money than you originally borrowed.

It’s important to remember that loan sharks are breaking the law by lending you money in this way. They can’t enforce the high rates of interest they are trying to charge. You can’t be legally made to pay back the money and you have not broken the law if you don’t pay it back.

If you are being harassed or threatened by a loan shark and you think your life is in danger you can phone the police. If loan sharks threaten you or your family they can be prosecuted. You should also report them on the GOV website to find out how to report a loan shark on GOV.UK.

Reporting Creditors

Reporting a problem to Trade Standards

If you want to report a problem, you should contact the Citizens Advice consumer service, (citizens advice is a community of volunteer solicitors, usually found in every town/city in the UK). The citizen’s advice will then share the information reported with Trading Standards.

Creditors Are People

Some creditors and debt collecting agency may take their jobs too seriously and may become patronizing, judgmental and condescending, and even sometimes intimidating or threatening.

“You should not live in fear of another person or organization. It is not your fault that the powers that be have decided on price hikes and consequently got you into debt”.

Creditors are the people at the end of the day, either owners of businesses or employees trying to do their jobs.

If you owe money to a creditor and stop making payments, they can take action against you to get their money back. Therefore it is best to write to them, that way everything is documented, giving them a proposal on how you plan to pay the debt off.

If you have more overheads than the income coming in tell them this. No one on the planet can get blood out of stone”.

Try to exhaust all avenues of getting extra money to pay your debt off before saying you have no money.

If you have reached out to everyone you know and have contacted organizations that may give you grants and been unsuccessful then by all means be truthful with yourself and with your creditors and do not try to brush the problem under the carpet because it will not go away and will only get worse if you do nothing over time.

You could save yourself money with postage simply by emailing them. Explain your incomings and outgoings and ask them for more time. Ask them to spread the cost of what you owe over a fixed term between 12 – 60 months.

“No One Should Live In Fear and pushing people into a corner may send them over the edge”

How Creditors Are Supposed To Behave.

Creditors are supposed to behave professionally, they should not express their personal opinions, or become, patronizing, judgmental or condescending towards you when they are trying to recover their money.

Harassment is any action that makes you feel emotionally distressed, stressed, anxious, humiliated, or threatened. It makes you live in fear and will consequently damage your mental health.

If you feel you are being harassed and becoming unwell because of a creditor, there are several things you can do to stop them from doing it.

If you need help talking to a creditor about their behavior, you can also phone the trading standards debt helpline on 0300 330 1313 if you are located in the UK. For all other countries find your local debt management agency that can assist you further.

Citizens Advice (UK) is open between 9 am and 8 pm, Monday to Friday. Calls cost the same as calls to landline numbers.

You can also get help by contacting your nearest Citizens Advice.

Coronavirus

If you’re struggling to pay your debts because of coronavirus.

You can check what to do if you can’t pay because of coronavirus.

What counts as harassment by a creditor

If the creditor tries to do any of the following things to try and get you to pay back the money you owe, this could be considered harassment. They include:

  1. If a creditor or debt collection agency contacts you several times a day (during working hours, whilst you are at work), or early in the morning or late at night.
  2. If a creditor or debt collection agency pursues you on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook, LinkedIn.
  3. If a creditor or debt collection agency puts pressure on you to sell your home or take out more credit.
  4. If a creditor or debt collection agency uses more than one debt collector to chase you for payment.
  5. If a creditor or debt collection agency does not inform you that your debt has been passed on to a debt collection agency.
  6. If a creditor or debt collection agency uses paperwork or business logos that appear to be official when they’re not, (this is fraud) for example sending you letters that look like court forms.
  7. If a creditor or debt collection agency puts pressure on you to pay all the money off, or in larger installments when you can’t afford to.
  8. If the creditor or debt collecting agency becomes threatening you physically or verbally abusive to you.
  9. If a creditor or debt collection agency ignores you if you say you don’t owe the money.
  10. If a creditor or debt collection agency tries to embarrass, humiliate or intimidate you in public.
  11. If a creditor or debt collection agency tells someone else about your debts or uses another person to pass on messages, such as a neighbor or family member.
  12. If a creditor or debt collection agency falsely claims to work for the court or be a bailiff in England and Wales or sheriff officer in Scotland (this is deemed as fraud).
  13. If a creditor or debt collection agency implies that legal action can be taken when it can’t. For example, implying that your home can be taken from you without a court order.
  14. If a creditor or debt collection agency gives the impression that court action has been taken against you when it hasn’t.
  15. If a creditor or debt collection agency gives the impression that not paying the debt is a criminal offense. For most debts, it is not a criminal offense if you don’t pay them.

What doesn’t count as harassment by a creditor?

Not all actions that a creditor takes can be called harassment. Creditors are allowed to take reasonable steps to get back the money they owe them. These include:

  1. Sending reminder letters, texts, or emails.
  2. Telephoning you to ask for payment (not during working hours and not on your business phone).
  3. Call at your home, as long as this is at a reasonable time of the day.
  4. Taking court action.

Who is harassing you

If you’re being harassed by a creditor it’s important to know who is chasing you for payment.

You may be surprised that the people in your case may not be the people you originally owed money to. This is because your original creditor may have sold the debt to someone else to collect. If your original creditor does this, they cannot come after you for money, instead, you will have someone else in their place. If your creditor decides to pass the debt on, they must tell you in writing before they do it.

Your debt may be collected by:

  1. Your original creditor
  2. A debt collection agency acting on behalf of your creditor
  3. A third party who has bought the debt from your creditor
  4. Bailiffs in England and Wales or sheriff officers in Scotland.

What can you do about harassment by a creditor?

You first need to find out who is actually collecting the debt. You then need to take the following steps:

  1. collect evidence of the harassment
  2. complain to the creditor
  3. complain to a professional body.

Collecting evidence

Things to consider before making a complaint, gather as much evidence as you can to support your claim.

Depending on the seriousness of the situation this could include (although not all compulsory) It makes sense to gather as much evidence as possible to build your case:

  1. Documenting the number of visits or calls with dates and times. Write down what was said to you each time and who you spoke to.
  2. Has the original correspondence been printed to include letters, documents, emails, and texts you have received?
  3. Witness statements from neighbors or other people who live with you.
  4. Evidence of your circumstances.
  5. Any medical evidence if you suffering from mental health issues.

Disability UK – Crowd Funders Donation Pledge.

Disability UK – Disabled Entrepreneur – Crowd Funders – Donations Pledge.

Dear Readers,

I wanted to let you know that Disability UK -Disabled Entrepreneur has started a crowdfunding project for which we are aiming to raise money.

We are on our bare bones at the moment. So although we would love to help everyone, we first need help. Whatever you can give will help to keep this site running and help pay all our bills. Whatever you give will be truly appreciated”.

We want to continue providing support to the vulnerable especially because of the rise in the cost of living.

We understand not everyone can afford to contribute to a paywall and we are trying to avoid adding one to this site similar to what mainstream media channels are doing. Hence we are asking for donations of as little as £1.00 so as not to break the bank. You will be surprised if a million people donated £1.00 what a difference this would make.

Money is tight and we only get revenue from marketing and advertising. As an ‘Online Journal’, we are writing articles that matter and may not be covered by the mainstream media. People’s mental health is being affected, which could lead to alcohol, drug abuse, and crime. Creditors chasing people for money can send people over the edge. This is serious and very alarming. Please support us so that we can support the people that need us the most”.

We are a Business, not a Charity.

“Disability UK – Disabled Entrepreneur” is an “Online Journal” for people who have disabilities it is not just for disabled entrepreneurs.

Since the ‘Covid Pandemic’, we have made zero profit and this is concerning. We need donations and investors.

We are concerned that the rise in the cost of living is going to affect many businesses and people’s mental health.

We want to help as many people as possible by campaigning to get through this crisis, and by giving them the support they need.

We are raising money so that we can advertise and keep our site running free of charge, with no paywall and free advertising for SMEs, Charities, and Disabled Entrepreneurs”.

We are already advertising many businesses and charities for free and we need to start getting money in to help this cause.

We will be targeting big corporations, millionaires, billionaires, and family offices.

With this said we would love it if you could donate using the links below we would be truly grateful, anything you can give will help.

Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

How Safe Are Smart Meters For Your Health?

WHAT IS A SMART METER?

A smart meter is the next generation of a gas and electricity meter.

They are being installed in homes across Great Britain at no extra cost, to replace the traditional meters including prepay key meters, which most of us currently have tucked away under the stairs, or outside our homes.

Theoretically, smart meters measure how much gas and electricity you’re using, as well as what it’s costing you, and display this on a handy in-home display. The smart meter, also called an Advanced Meter Installation (AMI), is a two-way device used by utility companies to measure energy usage in your home.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

The advantages of a smart meter are you can wave goodbye to estimated billing. The smart meter shows a digital meter reading and uses a secure smart data network (managed by the DCC) to automatically and wirelessly send the readings to your energy supplier at least once a month, so you will receive accurate, not estimated bills.

Smart meters also come with an in-home display screen that shows you exactly how much energy you’re using in pounds and pence, in near real-time.

WHAT THE UTILITY COMPANIES SAY.

If you ask your utility company if a smart meter impacts your health, you’ll likely be told there is no health risk. They will be biased and will hopefully convince the unaware consumer that there are no dangers. However medical evidence has proven there are dangers.

WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY.

According to the BioInitiative Working Group, more than 6,000 studies show the correlation of electromagnetic energy with harmful effects, chronic conditions, and disease.

There is also evidence that electropollution triggers an immune system response. That’s because the body thinks the electrical fields are foreign invaders similar to bacteria and viruses.

Amy Myers, MD is a two-time New York Times bestselling author and an internationally acclaimed functional medicine physician. Dr. Myers specializes in empowering those with autoimmune, thyroid, and digestive issues to reverse their conditions and take back their health.

Amy Myers is a successful founder and CEO of Amy Myers MD®.

Dr. Myers has been quoted as saying: “I’ve seen with thousands of patients in my functional medicine clinic, that chronic inflammation leads to fatigue, cognitive problems, brain fog, irritability, anxiety, and memory loss. It is the root cause of autoimmune disease. In fact, chronic electrical exposure triggers symptoms that mirror those experienced in dozens of autoimmune diseases”.

According to David O. Carpenter, MD, radiofrequency exposure at elevated levels for a long period of time increases the risk of cancer, damages the nervous system, and causes sensitivity. It also has adverse health effects on the reproductive system and other organ systems. In addition, it elevates the levels of peroxynitrite (a toxin made by your body), which is linked with over 60 chronic diseases.

According to the World Health Organization, tissue heating is the principal mechanism of interaction between radiofrequency energy and the human body. Sam Milham, MD has spent nearly thirty years researching the impact of electric and magnetic fields (EMFs). He links dirty electricity to cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and suicide. He also connects it with neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Lou Gehrig’s disease.

RF radiation was classified in 2011 by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), as “possibly carcinogenic (cancer-causing) to humans.” Furthermore, there is no data that shows RF radiation is safe. In fact, no one has conducted health studies on humans living in homes with smart meters. The World Health Organization is planning a formal assessment of the health effects of RF exposure, however, this report is not yet available.

“People with smart meters in their homes have reported a sudden increase in dizziness, ear pain, memory problems, heart palpitations, anxiety, and sleep problems”.

CORPORATE BULLYING

Whether you owe money to a creditor or a utility company they will not stop until you contact them. They have been known to text and phone multiple times in a day in order for you to react. It is always best to communicate with them so that they can arrange something with you. My interaction was with Utility Companies and they insisted on meter readings, prior to Covid, and even During Covid they would come and read my meter but now they are singing a different tune. Because of the height of where my meter is located, it is impossible to read, yet I do not want a smart meter because of the health implications.

Whenever I communicate I always forward articles I have written, this gives me more authority on what I am talking about.

NOTES FROM THE EDITOR.

I had a text message come through on my phone from ‘British Gas’ despite me telling them that I do not give them permission to communicate with me this way and only by email. So they have given my number out without my permission to third-party engineers, which is a breach of GDPR for starters.

This has gone on deaf ears. Needless to say, they have booked me in for a smart meter even though I have told them I do not want one.

Now both my daughter and I have autoimmune disorders (cerebellar atrophy and multiple sclerosis), so if any utility company insists on the installation of these meters I think I have enough evidence, that should either my daughter or I relapse, we would be able to take legal action against the energy providers.

I was told in a conversation I had with ‘British Gas’ that I use more gas than the average household. They even asked me to add a backlink for them on this site on the useful links page, yet they never offered to pay for it. (Which is disgraceful that they can money grab, but won’t compensate for the traffic I send them). The link is useful for my readers and I am not doing British Gas any favors and will be looking for compensation.

I am not arguing if I use more gas or not, although I have a brand new boiler and I have to have my home heated because of black mold that grows on our walls.

I have to safeguard both my daughters and my health because we have black mold.

Our landlord is aware of the situation and has simply said to wash it down with bleach and soapy water. This does not eradicate the problem and the health of my daughter and my own is paramount and I will fight to the end anyone that tries to reduce our quality of life.

They will be made accountable, this includes:

  • Emotional Distress
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Autoimmune Relapses

Preventing Mold.

Preventing mold through heating. It makes sense that people want to save on heating costs but one of the best mold prevention techniques is keeping your heating on. If you seriously want to avoid mold in your home then avoid rooms cooling completely.

Remember the Governments and the Large Corporations work hand in hand. If you read on the government’s website that smart meters are safe, they will never tell the truth.

Why is our cost of living increased?

I will tell you why it is to do with deficit spending and the debt ceiling. Basically, the Government has overspent and in the case of the UK, they owe money to the EU. The Brexit Divorce Bill in July 2021, was estimated at £40.8bn but Downing Street insisted the figure was between £35bn and £39bn. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/51110096 we now have a crisis on our hands. The Government needs to find the money to pay the EU. Goods and services are now subject to tariffs, increasing the cost of raw materials into Britain and finished products out.

https://disabledentrepreneur.uk/cost-of-living-and-the-impact-on-struggling-low-income-families-entrepreneurs/

Therefore who is paying for this if not the British Public?

https://corporatefinanceinstitute.com/resources/knowledge/economics/brexit/

Health.

If people’s mental health is affected due to price hikes and people are forced to endure corporate bullying and intimidation to install smart meters which leads to illness then the corporations need to be made accountable. If people are struggling to pay their finances before the price hikes how are they supposed to pay after bills are increased exponentially?

“Pushing vulnerable people into a corner can easily send them over the edge”.

Furthermore, if corporations interfere in with people’s quality of life and make them ill they should pay damages. Black mold could lead to death. https://www.ehagroup.com/mold-iaq-services/toxic-mold/ So if I am to not use my gas and the black mold makes us ill then ‘British Gas’ should be made to pay for damages.

Weak Bladder Problem.

Weak Bladder Problem.

Overactive bladder (OAB) is a condition characterized by the sudden urge to pee which can be frequent and difficult to control, often leading to leakage and incontinence.

It has been nearly a year since I wrote to my GP and asked them to prescribe me something. In total five people acknowledged they read the letter but my GP never once responded. Yes, I plan to sue the surgery for medical negligence, I just need to muster the strength to do this.

I have since read that the medication Aquiette could be reclassified after the Commission on Human Medicines advised that it is safe to buy without a prescription. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/apr/23/overactive-bladder-drug-could-be-made-over-the-counter-in-uk

Considering my GP is worse than useless I cannot wait for this to get on the market.

Millions of women suffering from an overactive bladder have been urged to take part in a consultation that could make a treatment available over the counter for the first time. (I was not asked lol).

One in six women in the UK is thought to have symptoms associated with an overactive bladder, such as the sudden, uncontrolled need to urinate which can lead to accidental leaks.

Aquiette tablets are used to treat women with milder symptoms of the condition which cannot be controlled by bladder training alone.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is calling on people with the condition, as well as healthcare professionals with experience in treating it, to share their views in the reclassification consultation.

Dr. Laura Squire, chief healthcare quality and access officer at the MHRA, said:

“For many women, an overactive bladder can make day-to-day living extremely challenging. It can impact relationships, work, on social life, and it can lead to anxiety and depression. Fortunately, there are treatments around, and from today you will have a chance to have your say on whether one of those treatments, Aquiette, can be available for the first time without a prescription.”

After reading this I decided to do some research and went on the NHS website and filled in their questionnaire and this is the results:

I usually go to the loo every 1.5 hours to 2 hours day and night, I take medication although I know it is not the cause of my problem. My problem is I drink energy drinks because of the medication I take to go to sleep, when I wake I feel like a zombie so I need something to keep me awake. It is a vicious cycle.

Urinary incontinence is the unintentional passing of urine. It’s a common problem thought to affect millions of people.

There are several types of urinary incontinence, including:

  • stress incontinence – when urine leaks out at times when your bladder is under pressure; for example, when you cough or laugh
  • urge incontinence – when urine leaks as you feel a sudden, intense urge to pee, or soon afterward (this is me for sure).
  • overflow incontinence (chronic urinary retention) – when you’re unable to fully empty your bladder, which causes frequent leaking
  • total incontinence – when your bladder cannot store any urine at all, which causes you to pass urine constantly or have frequent leaking

It’s also possible to have a mixture of both stresses and urge urinary incontinence.

I used to work in a studio that did not have staff toilets so every time I needed to pee I would have to shut up the shop and go to the nearest cafe or bar. If one has a sudden urge to pee one cannot waste time, so working from home is ideal for me as I simply hurry down the corridor. But I should not have to live like this and my GP has let me down.

I will be sending a corroborating email about how my condition has progressed a year on and how I am writing and will continue writing about this surgery. I have mentioned them in my marketing journal and I am sure they are not happy because I mentioned the surgery by name.

Causes of urinary incontinence

Stress incontinence is usually the result of the weakening of or damage to the muscles used to prevent urination, such as the pelvic floor muscles and the urethral sphincter.

Urge incontinence is usually the result of the overactivity of the detrusor muscles, which control the bladder. (This is what I have got I’m sure).

Overflow incontinence is often caused by an obstruction or blockage in your bladder, which prevents it from emptying fully.

Total incontinence may be caused by a problem with the bladder from birth, a spinal injury, or a small, tunnel-like hole that can form between the bladder and a nearby area (fistula).

Certain things can increase the chances of urinary incontinence, including:

  • pregnancy and vaginal birth
  • obesity (yes I am slightly overweight but am not about to change my lifestyle because someone tells me to)
  • a family history of incontinence
  • increasing age – although incontinence is not an inevitable part of aging (yes I am aging although my mind is still young)
  • Coffee, tea, and other caffeinated drinks
  • Alcohol, including beer and wine
  • Sodas and other fizzy drinks
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Citrus fruit drinks
  • Tomato and tomato-based vegetable juices
  • Chocolate (I cannot give up chocolate it has serotonin in it)

The only drink I drink day in a day out is “Monster Ultra White” which has artificial sweeteners and caffeine. I do not drink coffee, tea, alcohol, fizzy drinks, or fruit juices. I occasionally may drink “Evian” water when I have no energy drinks left.

Treating urinary incontinence

Non-surgical treatments

Initially, a GP may suggest some simple measures to see if they help improve your symptoms. (like I said my GP is worse than useless)

These may include:

  • lifestyle changes such as losing weight and cutting down on caffeine and alcohol (I do not drink alcohol and sure when the universe gives me a £1,000,000. and I am stressed free I will not have to take my medication for my stress, anxiety, and depression. My mental health will improve so I won’t be dependent on prescribed medication to make me fall asleep and caffeine to wake me up again -problem solved).
  • pelvic floor exercises, where you strengthen your pelvic floor muscles by squeezing them. (I do this just to hold it in)
  • bladder training, where you learn ways to wait longer between needing to urinate and passing urine (my bladder has a mind of its own).
  • Medicine may be recommended if you’re still unable to manage your symptoms (that’s what I wanted a year ago).
  • Surgical treatment for stress incontinence, such as a sling procedure.

Stress & Cognitive Function.

Stress & Cognitive Function.

Psychological stress can affect a person’s cognitive abilities, in the short term (e.g., when an individual’s thoughts are pre-occupied with an argument or problem that happened earlier in the day resulting in reduced ability to concentrate) as well as over the long term, where the intrusive thoughts creep in and the problem simply does not go away and festers, which in turn can lead to anxiety, depression and other mental health disabilities.

Emotional and cognitive changes

The emotional and cognitive effects are often the greatest challenges. Some of the most common symptoms can be hidden from plain sight. These changes can affect the way people feel about themselves and alter their cognitive functions. For many, the emotional and cognitive effects represent the greatest challenges.

Emotional changes

Uncertainty, stress, and anxiety, depression are the most common disorders a person can experience.

A person with an autoimmune neurological disease such as MS or Cerebellar Atrophy may grieve for their life before they were diagnosed with a disorder. Other emotional changes that may occur include clinical depression, bipolar disorder, and mood swings. All of these are more common among people with MS than in the general population. Depression and bipolar disorder require professional attention and the use of effective treatments.

Emotional lability appears to be more common, and possibly more severe, in people with MS and Mental Health Disorders. This may include frequent mood changes, for example from happy to sad to angry.

It is believed that the causes are the extra stress brought on by MS as well as neurological changes. Uncontrollable laughing and crying is a disorder affecting a small proportion of people with MS, and it is thought to be caused by MS-related changes in the brain.

Low self-esteem

Having MS can affect self-esteem. There may be times when it’s difficult to do everything a person is used to doing, or they may have to do things differently. Focusing too much on the negative aspects can feel overwhelming.

Cognitive changes

Cognition refers to the “higher” brain functions such as memory and reasoning. About half of all people with MS will not experience any cognitive changes, but for others, the most commonly affected aspects of cognition are:

Memory

Attention and concentration

Word-finding

Speed of information processing

Abstract reasoning and problem solving

Visual-spatial abilities

Executive functions

Studies have shown according to author Dr. Sudha Seshadri, professor of neurology at UT Health San Antonio explains that higher levels of stress translate into raised levels of the stress hormone cortisol in the blood. A raised level of cortisol in the blood can predict brain size, function, and also the performance of the individual when faced with cognitive tests. She said, “We found memory loss and brain shrinkage in relatively young people long before any symptoms could be seen.” It’s never too early to be mindful of reducing stress,” she added. The lead author, Dr. Justin B. Echouffo-Tcheugui, an assistant professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins also said that symptoms of stress-related memory loss and brain damage may not be evident until much damage has already been done.

Cerebellar Atrophy & Stress.

The cerebellum is connected with stress-related brain areas and expresses the machinery required to process stress-related neurochemical mediators. Surprisingly, it is not regarded as a substrate of stress-related behavioral alterations, despite numerous studies that show cerebellar responsivity to stress.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31348932/

Notes From The Editor.

“I suffer from cognitive impairment, I lose my balance, jumble my words, and have memory loss. The condition I have is cerebellar atrophy. I was diagnosed with it around 2011”.

The more stressed I am the less I want to do. I sometimes have to force myself to churn the wheel for another day.

I suffer from clinical depression and have been diagnosed with this over 30 years ago. There are days that I have to fight with my thoughts in order to get through the day.

Recently with the price hikes, my depression is getting worse. I have my voice mail turned off and my phone is on airplane mode constantly. I cannot deal with talking to people over the phone. To counteract this I much prefer email correspondence. I am not too good with letters especially forms because of my OCD, this is something else I suffer with.

Having people pity me and say things “Awh Bless” or “Poor You”, really gets my back up. It is condescending. Furthermore, people are quick to judge or assume.

The difference between someone who is self-employed and someone who is employed is that the employed person is a slave to their employer and has a guaranteed wage, whilst the self-employed do not have a guaranteed income stream. A disabled person may choose to work for themselves as they do not have the same amount of pressure or obstacles to overcome.

I spoke with a British Gas customer rep the other day and she started asking questions, such as do I have a carer, and when I said no, I could hear her brain ticking and assuming that I am making things up about my illness. I tried explaining if I get stressed my mental state shuts down and I go into a whirl of depression. I continued to say that yanking my gas bill from £65 per month to £90 and a further hike to £138 was simply unacceptable. I simply cannot get this sort of money out of my a##e. I ended by saying I won’t be able to work because I cannot cope with the stress this is causing me. Now wait for the assuming bit she replied “what do you mean you will not be able to work, what do you do”? I said “I am the editor of “Disability UK Journal”. There was silence and then her attitude changed.

“A person who is self-employed and becomes unwell cannot function or keep their business running. So if they do not work no money comes in”.

“Just because I run this disability journal does not mean I am rolling around in money. Never assume anything”!

I am not a charity and I have no funding, I simply rely on Advertising & Marketing Revenue”.

Never assume because someone is working, they are financially secure or they do not have disabilities, or if they have they must not be all there especially when they have mental health disorders”.

There is so much stigma attached to disabilities with small-minded people judging and assuming things. Just because someone may have a disability does not make them less capable than the next person (depending on certain factors and disabilities of course), they may in fact do a better job.

“A disabled person can be more intelligent than you, so never assume that they are not”.

Elon Musk for example has ADHD and suffers from Asperger’s syndrome and is the richest man in the world.

Zena’s Online Journal Listeria Diet

As most of you know I have had an (MS) Multiple Sclerosis Relapse and am due to have my treatment ‘Lemtrada Alemtuzumab’ any day now. I have been told I have to start a ‘Listeria Diet’. It does not help when I have been told this a few weeks ago after I signed the consent form, especially as they know that “stress can cause MS relapses” and I am getting more and more stressed and anxious waiting for the start date.

https://www.msif.org/about-ms/symptoms-of-ms/cognition-and-emotional-changes/

My life should not revolve around the NHS pussy footing around.

It is getting beyond a joke waking up every morning to see if I have received the letter or not.

The Professor of Neurology and the MS Team should know better than to make a patient become stressed.

If you do not know what Listeria is here are some facts:

Listeria is a genus of bacteria that acts as an intracellular parasite in mammals. Until 1992, 10 species were known, each containing two subspecies. By 2020, 21 species had been identified. The genus is named in honor of the British pioneer of sterile surgery Joseph Lister.

It’s a harmful bacterium that can be found in refrigerated, ready-to-eat foods (meat, poultry, seafood, and dairy – unpasteurized milk and milk products or foods made with unpasteurized milk), and produce harvested from soil contaminated with L. monocytogenes.

Many animals can carry this bacterium without appearing ill, and thus, it can be found in foods made from animals. L. monocytogenes is unusual because it can grow at refrigerator temperatures where most other foodborne bacteria do not. When eaten, it may cause listeriosis, an illness to which pregnant women and their unborn children are very vulnerable (autoimmune disease) with low immune systems.

Citation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Listeria

My diet:

Can’t eat:

  • Hot dogs, deli meats, and luncheon meats – unless they’re reheated until steaming hot. Greggs, McDonald’s, Subway.
  • Refrigerated Meal Deals, Pre-prepared sandwiches, and salads. Tesco’s Meal Deals, Boots Meal Deals, Sainsbury’s, Morrison, Cafe Food such as Starbucks, Costa-; Cafe Nero, Coffee #1, etc.
  • Soft cheeses like Feta, Brie, and Camembert, “blue-veined cheeses,” or “queso Blanco,” “queso fresco,” or Panela – unless they’re made with pasteurized milk. Make sure the label says, “made with pasteurized milk.”
  • Refrigerated pâtés or meat spreads, lunch meats like cold cuts, chicken liver.
  • Refrigerated smoked seafood – unless it’s in a cooked dish, such as a casserole. (Refrigerated smoked seafood, such as salmon, trout, whitefish, cod, tuna, or mackerel is most often labeled as “nova-style,” “lox,” “kippered,” “smoked,” or “jerky.” These types of fish are found in the refrigerator section or sold at deli counters of grocery stores and delicatessens), Sushi; is sold in grocery shops, cafes, and restaurants.
  • Raw (unpasteurized) milk or foods that contain unpasteurized milk, ice cream, and cheese made from raw milk.
  • Raw or lightly cooked sprouts, including alfalfa, clover, radish, and mung bean sprouts
  • Pre-prepared fruit including cut melon at room temperature, or refrigerated melon that has been cut for more than 7 days (This sucks as I love melon). If you are wondering why there is an emphasis on melons, this is what I found: Most melons are grown on the ground. The ground is dirty, but the rind protects the inside of the melon. The problem is that germs like E-coliListeria, or Salmonella can sometimes hang out on the rind. Some melons have E-coli hovering around the outside of the melon. In most cases, the E-coli germs don’t do too much to the rind of the melon. It’s the cutting of the melon that can cause the problem. https://www.canr.msu.edu/news/melons_prepare_and_store_properly_for_safe_consumption
  • Rare or undercooked beef, poultry, pork, and lamb. (No rare or medium-rare steaks I’m afraid).

It’s okay to eat:

  • Pasta cooked fresh. Can be reheated at 165%F.
  • Casseroles. Can be reheated at 165%F.
  • Freshly Cooked Rice and Curry.
  • Fried Food. (This kills germs but does nothing for your waste line). (KFC is not permitted because the fried food is not sold immediately it leaves the fryer, and sits on trays. The same goes for burgers the salad sits around and cheese is not permitted).
  • Freshly baked or roasted food. (Jacket Potatoes, Roasted Meat).
  • Canned Soup & Beans.
  • Pasteurized milk or foods that contain pasteurized milk.

https://www.lemtrada.com/stories/experiences-articles/food-safety-during-ms-treatment

Not only do you have to watch what you eat you also have to have a germ-free environment and make sure your fridge, work surface areas, and your utensils are clean and sterile.

Time to Chill

  • Your refrigerator should register at 40° F (4° C) or below and the freezer at 0° F (-18° C). Place a refrigerator thermometer in the refrigerator, and check the temperature periodically. During the automatic defrost cycle, the temperature may temporarily register slightly higher than 40° F. This is okay.
  • Refrigerate or freeze perishables, prepared food, and leftovers within two hours of eating or preparation. Follow the 2-Hour Rule: Discard food that’s left out at room temperature for longer than 2 hours. When temperatures are above 90° F (32° C), discard food after 1 hour.
  • Use ready-to-eat, perishable foods, such as dairy, meat, poultry, seafood, and produce, as soon as possible.

Fridge TIPS

  • Clean your refrigerator regularly.
  • Wipe up spills immediately. (Have antibacterial wipes on hand or antibacterial surface spray.
  • Clean the inside walls and shelves with hot water and a mild liquid dishwashing detergent; then rinse. (I always use fairy antibacterial with a red cross washing up liquid.
  • Once a week, check expiration and “use by” dates; and throw out foods if the date has passed. Follow the recommended storage times for foods.
  • Remember to store raw meat on the bottom shelf and cooked meats on the top/middle.

Food Storage:

Symptoms of listeriosis

In most people, listeriosis has no symptoms or only causes mild symptoms for a few days, such as:

  • a high temperature of 38C or above
  • aches and pains
  • chills
  • feeling or being sick
  • diarrhea
  • death

If you’re pregnant, you may also have a stomach ache or notice your baby moving less than usual.

Babies with listeriosis may also be irritable and feed less than usual.

Risks of listeriosis

Listeriosis is not usually serious for most people.

But some people have a higher risk of serious problems, including:

  • people who are pregnant
  • newborn babies
  • people aged 65 or over
  • people with a condition that weakens their immune system, such as cancer, liver disease, or kidney disease
  • people having treatment that weakens their immune system, such as chemotherapy or steroid tablets
  • people with diabetes who are unable to keep their blood sugar level down, even with treatment (uncontrolled diabetes)

If you get listeriosis while you’re pregnant, there is a risk it could cause miscarriage or stillbirth.

I have made the keywords in bold that apply to people who are having treatment for “multiple sclerosis”.

I have also attached links to the Lemtrada Alemtuzumab, NHS, and FDA sites for further reading.

In The News.

According to Rachel Mclean Minister stated people struggling with bills should ‘work more hours or move to better-paid job’.

Ms. Maclean said: “Over the long term we need to have a plan to grow the economy and make sure that people are able to protect themselves better – whether that is by taking on more hours or moving to a better-paid job and these are long-term actions but that’s what we’re focused on as a government.”

Firstly not all employers have the budgets to give extra hours.

Secondly, if it was so easy to get a job everyone would be doing it and we would not have so many people unemployed.

Thirdly the average salary for the average U.K. full-time worker as reported by the ONS equates to £31,772 over the year. However this may be an average yet there are many jobs that pay the National Minimum Wage based on 40 hours working week at the national minimum wage of for example £9.18, which equates to £17,625 before tax and NI.

Reasons Why Rachel Mclean Minister Does Not Have A Clue:

  • Getting another job may be in breach of the contract of the current employer.
  • Tax Implications.
  • The unemployed who cannot find work (so how is someone in employment going to find work so easily?
  • People with disabilities who cannot work? How are they supposed to live?
  • Disabled People in Employment? Disabled people find it more difficult to get work because even though we are supposed to live in a non-discrimination society, a person for example with OCD who has to wear latex gloves to touch things won’t be hired to represent a brand on a high street shop or may feel uncomfortable working in an office environment being the odd one out. Ask yourself this question how many people do you see working who have wheelchairs? Businesses with no wheelchair access are not going to go out of their way to build ramps and fit disability equipment unless that person they were hiring was worth more than his/her weight in gold.
  • Self Employed on low incomes as they struggle to get more business?
  • People with children, so are you supposed to get a second job so that you can pay for childcare to look after your kids whilst you are at work? (getting a stranger to bring your child up, I have never got my head around this unless you earn a lot of money and your career is very important to you).
  • Not all households have two incomes some people live on their own and only have one income.

Mental Health and Low-Income Families.

This affecting people’s mental health with the Governments and the Banks playing God with your prosperity? Lee Anderson, Conservative MP for Ashfield, said in the House of Commons that meals could be cooked for as little as 30p a day. (You can’t even buy ramen noodles for 30p) I suppose if you had eggs and toast or jam sandwiches every day that may bring the shopping bill down, but who wants to eat toast and eggs every day?

Let’s be hypothetical here:

2 Dozen Eggs: £4.00

2 Loaves of Bread £2.40

Butter or Spread £2.00

Total Price of Groceries: £8.40 divided by 7 days = £1.20 a day

I suppose if you ate one egg a day (after all we can’t be greedy) it would bring the cost down by £2.00 which would mean your daily food bill would be 91p per day.

I am sure health professionals would be falling over themselves saying how unhealthy this would be.

But who on earth wants to live like this? This affects a person’s quality of life never mind their mental state. It’s humiliating and downright cruel. No one should be made to starve to fit in with the Government agenda.

The government needs to get its house in order before palming off its problems on the public.

Mental Health

The cost of living crisis is affecting the nation’s mental health and the already vulnerable mind.

Sarb Bajwa, CEO of the BPS (The British Psychology Society) said:

“The absence of measures to support the most vulnerable is glaring, and many families will be swept into poverty over the coming months, as they struggle to pay their bills and put food on the table. The mental health impacts of this are severe – we know that the stress of raising a family in poverty can have huge ramifications on parents’ and children’s mental health and that poverty is one of the major risk factors for the development of mental and physical health problems“.

Suicide Due To Cost Of Living.

A Sheffield Labour MP said some people in his constituency have attempted suicide in response to the rising cost of living. Paul Blomfield, MP for Sheffield Central, said: “I spent yesterday morning at a crisis meeting in a part of my constituency where incomes are lowest. And we were looking at the way in which the cost-of-living crisis we’re facing was impacting people”.

https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/politics/people-in-sheffield-attempting-suicide-over-cost-of-living-crisis-says-city-mp-3698164

Approximately 75% of suicides occur in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where rates of poverty are high.

The Government, Brexit, Debt Ceiling & Deficit Spending.

Debt Ceiling

The debt ceiling is the maximum amount that the U.S. government can borrow by issuing bonds. When the debt ceiling is reached, the Treasury Department must find other ways to pay expenses. Otherwise, there is a risk the U.S. will default on its debt.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_debt_ceiling

Deficit Spending

Deficit spending occurs when purchases exceed income. It happens to individuals and businesses, but it usually refers to governments.

https://www.thebalance.com/deficit-spending-causes-why-it-s-out-of-control-3306289

Brexit

In other words, because the UK left the EU, the Brexit Divorce Bill in July 2021, was estimated at £40.8bn but Downing Street insisted the figure was between £35bn and £39bn. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/51110096 we now have a crisis on our hands. The Government needs to find the money to pay the EU. Goods and services are now subject to tariffs, increasing the cost of raw materials into Britain and finished products out.

https://corporatefinanceinstitute.com/resources/knowledge/economics/brexit/

Therefore who is paying for this if not the British Public?

You would not allow the public to make decisions about what goes on in your business especially if they had no clue about accounting and budgets?

The same should be said how can you allow a country to vote if they have no clue about economics and have not got an ounce of politics in their body?

If I was in power I would make everyone do an IQ Test and the ones that scored higher could only vote.

https://www.mensa.org/public/mensa-iq-challenge

You allow uneducated people to vote just so you can win the game of numbers and now look at the state of the country which is now left in turmoil.

Final Thoughts From The Editor.

The governments have overspent and people and businesses too. So what does that mean in the long run for the British Public? For starters, the cost of living has to be increased to pay back the debts that have accumulated and forces people to borrow even more money. For every pound/dollar borrowed you have to pay interest which is fiat currency to the banks and that is how the monetary system revolves.

If the Government and Politicians are so quick to give advice why don’t they swap places with people living on the poverty line, if one is born with silver spoons in their mouths they will never grasp how the other half lives and it is easy to dish out advice if you have never experienced life, where you have to worry where your next meal is going to come from.

It is easy to pass judgment whilst hosting wine and cheese parties and decorating walls with gold wallpaper at a cost of £840 per roll?

It’s easy to say find a job when businesses are not hiring and do not want to spend.

All businesses are tightening their reigns on their spending, so the chances of a pay rise or an increase in hours are going to be slim.

What happened to all the money that was confiscated from the Oligarchs and all their assets? (is it all just smoke and mirrors simply to confuse everyone so that they do not find out what is really going on?). Why can’t the assets be sold off to pay off the national debt?

  • Why are the owners at the Federal Reserve getting a 6% commission, why can’t they reduce their cut to 1%; and the rest of the money sent back into the system? (It’s not as if they can take all the money with them when they die).
  • Why are they hoarding this wealth?
  • Why can’t the Millionaires, Billionaires have a wage cap on how much they own, and the rest gets put back to help pay off the national debt.
  • Why do low-income families have to be punished at the expense of the privileged and wealthy politicians?
  • Why can’t we all live in harmony and stop being so God Damm Greedy?
  • What about the people that are disabled are they just thrown to the dogs?
  • Why are people suffering to the point it affects their mental health?
  • How many people have to die at the expense of the powers that be?
  • People who have got themselves into debt due to price hikes of utility bills should have the debt spread over a term of 3-5 years.
  • Utility companies should not make people feel like 💩 and be belittling and humiliating.
  • Creditors should not hound the vulnerable, by phoning or texting several times a day (it is called harassment). If a person has admitted hardship the creditor should put a halt on payments overdue and even come to some arrangement to pay back in affordable monthly payments rather than making a person feel emotionally and mentally unwell. (£40 x 60 months = £2,400) It is better to get something back than nothing at all. The same goes with Utility companies do not force people into corners as you never know what they might do.

Disability Support.

The other thing that has been brought to my attention is how cost-cutting the government is with benefits, robbing Peter to pay Paul so to speak, by taking away simple necessities from the already high risk and vulnerable people to pay for their spending on Wars and their own agendas, they are doing the classic “Daniel Blake” scenario.

My daughter has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and has a Cardiff Bus Concessionary Travel Card, have now said she will not renew her card even though she already was awarded the card; unless she gets the new updated PIP award letter that is still being processed. She has been given a deadline to produce the letter within the next eight weeks which PIP have said they will not be able to do. If people have a long-term illness they should not be expected to jump through hoops to prove they are ill. They should have evidence from health care professionals and should not be expected to perform like performing seals.

As it happens my daughter is going to have treatment again in the next few weeks because she has relapsed and her MRI scan showed new lesions. The powers that be should not be adding more stress to people who are ill that have corroborating evidence.

Zena’s Online Journal, Diary of My Multiple Sclerosis Journey.

Hi, This Is Zena, Welcome To My Online Journal.

I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. My mum is my carer and also the editor of this website.

I have good days and bad days and my legs ache and I am tired most of the time. I have had my medication of Gabapentin increased because I cannot cope with the pain.

I had my annual MRI scan done earlier this year and it was observed I have new lesions on my brain.

The professor of neurology has decided because I have relapsed, that I have to have a new course of treatment which should start in the next couple of weeks followed by a course of steroids to shut down my immune system and then the infusion. Because of Covid, I cannot have visitors so will be stuck on the ward by myself.

I have already got my stash of snacks, biscuits, chocolates, sweets, etc. I’m not a fan of hospital food and it is not as if they will let me go to the hospital shops with my drip in tow.

Treatment – Alemtuzumab (Lemtrada).

I have just signed the consent form for the drug “Alemtuzumab” which was taken off the NHS last time around by the Europen Medicine Agency (EMA) and has been brought back in again? https://marketingagency.cymrumarketing.com/2019/10/15/lemtrada-alemtuzumab-sanofi-genzyme/

Prior to the treatment I have to go on a listeria diet, can’t wait (just kidding).

https://www.lemtrada.com/stories/experiences-articles/food-safety-during-ms-treatment

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/listeriosis/

I now have to have stricter screening because of the potential risks and side effects, which I assume is for the NHS benefit to cover their backs I suppose.

I often get MS hugs that feel paralyzing. I have been experiencing sharp and dull headaches, but I guess that is from my lesions. I even have a pineal gland cyst lesion so it is (confirmed I have a third eye) lol, I am a spiritual being.

Daily Routine.

Like I said before no two days are the same. Depending on how stressed I am will depend on how my day pans out. I do suffer from depression from time to time and I do worry. Although this is not diagnosed I do recognize the symptoms. I do get very upset sometimes and I do try and stay focused and occupy my mind with something from keeping the intrusive thoughts creeping in.

Stress & Studies.

I cannot cope with stress, I experience anxiety and it gets very overwhelming to the point my hands tremble. I have in the past hurled my old Acer computer across the room with rage. I am hot-headed and cannot cope well with stress and problems so I am grateful I have my mum as my carer because she told me she received a letter from the DWP today and this is how long she was on the phone waiting to be put through before she could speak a total of fewer than 6 minutes. If this was me I would have smashed my phone to pieces.

Several studies have shown that stressful life events are associated with a subsequent significant increase in the risk of “Multiple Sclerosis” (MS) exacerbations.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3115807/

So it does not help when people and organizations cause me immense anxiety and stress, which then escalates into depression”.

Timeline.

My timeline of things that have happened to me although I do not always remember to document everything are:

27th September 2021.

I noticed bruising on my foot. I am very vigilant when it comes to bruising as I have been told that Alemtuzumab can cause Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) Formerly known as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is a blood disorder characterized by a decrease in the number of platelets in the blood. Platelets are cells in the blood that help stop bleeding. A decrease in platelets can cause easy bruising, bleeding gums, and internal bleeding. In severe cases treatment may include medications to boost your platelet count or surgery to remove your spleen. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/idiopathic-thrombocytopenic-purpura/symptoms-causes/syc-20352325

22nd December 2021.

I developed a random rash on my face, I did not eat or use any new products it just came out of nowhere. I wonder if I will develop a rash as I had it last time, it looks like hives and you get it all over your body. Mine lasted a day, thank God.

15th April 2022

My lip started to swell and I had bleeding inside my mouth. As you can see from the photo it then turns all blistery. I took some antihistamines and after a few days it settled down. I did go to Boots pharmacy and they confirmed it was not a cold sore but an allergic reaction, again I never took anything out of the ordinary, any new skin or bath, detergent products, and no new food, weird?

21st April 2022.

I slipped in the bath and ended up bruising my lower torso. It was painful for a few days but it healed relatively quickly.

26th April 2022.

I noticed bruising large reddish-purple bruising on my inner thigh towards my knee, again very random.

20th April 2022.

I received a letter that I had to come into the hospital to have my blood (7 vials) and sign the consent form to have the treatment.

So in a couple of weeks’ time, I will be starting the treatment which I am not looking forward to because I will be immune suppressed so won’t be able to go anywhere public for a few after that, but I should be used to it by now from past experience of previous treatment and the Covid Lockdowns.

Update 17/05/22.

I am having an ongoing issue with Cardiff Bus Concessionary Travel Card. I was issued a card that would last me for some time and out of the blue, they are insisting on my up-to-date award letter which is still being processed, giving me a deadline of 8 weeks to produce it.

My mum who is my carer phoned PIP today to get confirmation and they said they have extended the award until September 6th with 3-month reviews, the assessment is still pending but PIP(Personal Independence Payment) did agree to send out a letter as proof of the conversation. I hope that the Cardiff Bus Company aka Cardiff Council does not make it difficult for me as I do not want my MS to get worse.

PIP has assessors who are not qualified as I have a friend who is one, so I personally think and so does my mother that all applications should be assessed on the basis of the medical records and health professionals’ opinions and not by someone off the dole register.

Wish me luck and I will try to post again soon.
