For context, I was told at the age of 15 that I had a cataract in my right eye, the specialists were baffled and eventually, I had to have surgery under general anesthetic, I am now 24 years old and my severe headaches prompted me to see my opticians only to find out the eye that was operated on, the cataract is growing back. I was told the next surgery would not be as traumatizing even though I was not awake, yet the latest plan would be to have laser eye surgery, the anxiety this is causing me is indescribable. I will update you as and when things progress. I am trying to stay positive and focused. There is a saying “If life deals you lemons, make lemonade“.
