Customer advisors are often the unsung heroes of the high street. They are there to assist, inform, and represent a company professionally, but they are not there to be shouted at, belittled, or physically disrespected.

Disabled entrepreneurs often speak of empowerment, community, and visibility. Many position themselves as champions for inclusion and mental health awareness. But what happens when these very individuals, your LinkedIn connections, your supposed allies, ignore your messages, dismiss your contributions, and ghost your professional outreach without so much as an acknowledgment?

It is a painful reality to accept that no amount of kindness or love will change a narcissist’s fundamental nature. While it is natural to hope for transformation, real healing comes from understanding that you deserve healthy, reciprocal relationships. Letting go of the illusion that you can fix a narcissist allows you to reclaim your power, set boundaries, and focus on your own well-being rather than exhausting yourself in a futile battle to change someone who refuses to change.

Disabled individuals should not have to justify their conditions or prove their limitations to those who refuse to understand. The assumption that disability can be ‘cured’ through sheer effort is not only ignorant but also harmful. Instead of placing the burden on disabled individuals to ‘fix’ themselves, society should focus on breaking down barriers, promoting accessibility, and ensuring that those with disabilities are supported, respected, and valued.

While the exact causes of OCD are complex and multifaceted, research shows that trauma can act as a significant trigger, leading to the onset or worsening of OCD symptoms. Trauma can destabilise mental well-being, causing heightened anxiety, stress, and emotional vulnerability. When these factors intersect with an individual’s predisposition for OCD, the result can be a sharp decline in mental health.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), is a debilitating condition characterised by extreme and persistent fatigue that does not improve with rest. This condition affects individuals physically, mentally, and emotionally, significantly impacting their quality of life. For many, it can lead to a level of disability that makes them eligible for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) in the UK.
